Judith 'Judie' Moore

Judith "Judie" Carol Moore, 76, died August 31, 2015, at Worland Health Care Center.

Judie was born February 23, 1939, in Peabody, Kan. to Odessa & Charles Reamer. In the early 40's she moved with her family to the Greybull and Basin, Wyo. area where she went to school and worked as a waitress at a local diner.

On July 15, 1956 she married the love of her life Raymond Alfred Moore. They lived the life of ranchers and outfitter guides. She would often tell stories of being the camp cook during hunting season in the Thorofare Mountains. Together they raised 4 children. They shared their lives together for 56 years.

Ray and Judie moved to Thermopolis in 1986. Judie enjoyed working and being around people. She never knew a stranger. She was an employee of Captel for several years and spoke to people from all over. She enjoyed visiting with new people.

In 1998 Judie went back to high school, taking night classes to get her GED. She was very proud of receiving her GED Diploma at the age of 58.

Judie loved the mountains, cooking, shopping and a beautiful Wyoming sunset. She was an avid bowler, talented sketch artist & enjoyed playing Bingo.

She is survived by daughters, Penny (Bill) Lookingbill of Lander and Carol(George)Wingate of Kansas; sons, Ray (Belinda) of Thermopolis and Tom (Candy) of Missouri; brother Gary Spomer of Greybull; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Judie was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Raymond; her parents; and two infant sons.
