Leroy 'Roy' Meier

Leroy “Roy” A. Meier, 72, died Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital after a period of declining health.

 Born July 14, 1943, in Foster Township, Pa., he was the son of George and Ruth (Deal) Meier. After high school he farmed, did various jobs and retired from the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

 On July 13, 1968, he married Dolores Crosley in Freeland, Pa. In 1989 the couple moved to Buffalo, Wyo. then to Alaska in 2004. They returned to Wyoming settling in Thermopolis in 2008.

Roy loved to farm, especially raising pigs, cattle and buffalo.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years; and daughters, Amy (Steve) Sutton and Jenny (Al) Benton, both of Buffalo, Wyo. 

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Sam Meier.

 Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo.
