Glenda G. Harshbarger Alberts, 47, of Basin, Wyo. passed away at her home in Basin on Wednesday evening, August 19, 2015.
Glenda was born October 1, 1967, in Kalispell, Mont. to James Victor and Verona (Levang) Harshbarger. Glenda grew up in Kalispell, Mont. where she received her schooling.
Glenda met and married Loren Alberts on August 8, 1987. The couple lived in Thermopolis from 1991-93. They worked together doing flooring installation.
Glenda was a ray of sunshine and solace to all who knew her. She was always available to talk to or lend a helping hand. She was quiet and soft spoken but her influence on family, friends, and the community is evident. She was a loving, caring, and involved wife and mother. She supported her family in all they chose to do. From 4-H to building a house, no task was too big or too small.
Glenda loved to learn and share new talents. From painting to soap making, she enjoyed each new challenge and was always too willing to share her knowledge. Cooking was one of her many natural talents. If you came to visit, Glenda made you feel right at home and you always left well fed.
Glenda is survived by her loving husband, Loren Alberts of Basin, Wyo.; her children, Desirae (Eric) Barkan of Chandler, Ariz., Chanda (Robert) Brewer of Basin, Wyo. and Kolter Alberts of Basin, Wyo.; mother, Verona Levang Harshbarger of Paso, Texas; siblings, Debbie (Ed) Hancock of Roswell, N.M., Sandy (Mitch) Blades of Kalispell, Mont., Cliff (Lisa) Harshbarger of Kalispell, Mont., Dolly (Steve) Green of Paso, Texas, and Holly Harshbarger and Bobby Jackson of Kalispell, Mont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Glenda is preceded in death by her father, James Harshbarger.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at the Patriot Cemetery in Basin, Wyo. with Pastor Dave Seratt as officiant.
Atwood Family Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
