The "Bacon Busters" got the pig-in-the-poke and celebrated all 'round as the winners in the women's division at the pig wrestling event at the Hot Springs County Fair.
Things got a little messy for the "Porkchop Punchers", third place winners in the junior division, during pig wrestling last Tuesday.
Hundreds of pounds of family fun was had last week during the Pig Wrestling competition at the Hot Springs County Fairgrounds.
Winners included:
PeeWee division – 1st, "Sh8kn Pigs", Luke Arcand, Luke Dickey, Lilian Johnson, Ruthanne Johnson. Calcutta: 1st Axtell Ranch.
Junior division – 1st, "307 Hog Wrestlers", Hunter Bartholomew, Spencer Axtell, Will Ward, Jason Clouse; 2nd, "Swine Killers", Remington Ferree, Will Ward, Spencer Axtell, Hunter Bartholomew; 3rd, "JLA Services Porkchop Punchers", Roedy Farrell, McCoy Longwell, Jhett Longwell, Bubba Bowman. Calcutta: 1st, Bartholomew Well Service, 2nd, Axtell Ranch, 3rd, Monkey Welding.
Men's division – 1st, "Hog Legs", TJ Owsley, Reese Owlsley, Ken Ivie, Michael Byrd; 2nd, "Hog Pile", TJ Owsley, Reese Owsley, Zach Larson, Brad Peil; 3rd, "Moonswiners", William Larson, Justin Spence, Ted Hubele, Jacob Blair. Calcutta: 1st, RJ Owsley; 2nd, RJ Owsley; 3rd, R&C Trucks.
