The last few days of the Hot Springs County Fair are quickly winding down with just a few events left for today (Thursday) and Friday.
The swine show starts this morning at 8 a.m. followed by the “Over the Hill” showmanship, which features moms and dads taking a shot at showing the animals.
Your opinion matters tonight at the annual chili cook-off at 5 p.m. Come down and taste a variety of homemade chili and vote for your favorite. New this year is a dessert bake-off in conjunction with the chili cook-off.
At 6 p.m. the beef show starts with the “Over the Hill” showmanship to follow.
There’s a full slate of events on Friday, too, starting with round robin showmanship at 10 a.m.
There will be a Parade of Champions at 1 p.m. and a mandatory State Fair meeting for county delegates going to State Fair at 2 p.m.
The pre-sale buyers dinner begins at 6 p.m., open to all those planning on buying at the Junior Livestock Auction.
The Judge’s Choice bake sale and Junior Livestock Auction will start at 7 p.m.
