The Washakie-Hot Springs County Farm Service Agency (FSA) has programs available to help in disaster situations.
Any disaster event relating to agricultural land should be reported to the FSA office so proper notifications can be made to assist in these events.
The FSA County Committee (COC) is aware that flash flooding has occurred in the county and varying degrees of damage has resulted.
The COC is considering making a request for Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) funds if the damages are significant enough to warrant federal aid.
The COC asks that if you have flood damage that you cannot repair without assistance, call the Washakie-Hot Springs County FSA office at 307-347-2456, Ext 2, and let them know your need for help by July 15 so the COC can determine if a request for ECP funds is warranted.
