Weed and Pest spraying county for mosquitoes

The Hot Springs County Weed and Pest District will be spraying for mosquitoes June 30-July 2 in the county including the areas of Lucerne, Kirby and Owl Creek, weather permitting.

Ground fogging will be done in Thermopolis and East Thermopolis. Contact the Weed and Pest district office if you would like to be on a no spray list.

Mosquitoes are thriving this year due to the rainfall the county has received. There are options available for residents to control mosquitoes in their yards. Insecticide is available at the weed and pest office and area businesses to spray lawns and bushes.

The district loans out small foggers to property owners for use in a pickup or on a 4-wheeler. Larvicide is available for areas with standing water.
