Smokin' Waters Golf Tourney

Hot Springs County 4-H and FFA support groups are hosting the 2nd Annual Smokin’ Waters Golf Tournament Saturday, June 20, at the Thermopolis Golf Course with a shotgun start.

There are two tee times for golfers with the morning tee time at 8 a.m. and the afternoon tee time is 1 p.m.

There are several hole-in-one prizes in this tournament. Fremont Motors of Riverton is sponsoring a 2015 Ford F150 if someone gets a hole-in-one on hole two and the Wyoming 4-H Foundation is sponsoring a $25,000 cash prize for a hole-in-one on hole eight. Bank of Thermopolis is sponsoring a putting contest and giving away $1,000 to the top three putters in the tournament.

Golfers will have several other opportunities at winning awards and prizes. A raffle will be held for two Taylor Made SLDR Drivers, a set of Titleist Irons, a Titleist Vokey Wedge, a Taylor Made Ghost Putter, a Titleist “Scotty Cameron” putter, golf bags, a golf hand cart and several gift cards and gift certificates from local businesses.

Smokin’ Waters Golf Invitational will also give out pro shop gift certificates to the top three teams gross and net. There will be cash prizes for closest to the pin on hole two, five and hole eight, but golfers will have to pay $10 to be a part of those contests.

Registration is $100 per player and the format requires a team of four players. The fee helps cover green fees, cart rentals, lunch and prizes. If you want to play and need more team members call the Thermopolis Golf Club at 864-5294 or Joey Johnson at 272-2539.

All golfers are welcome to play in this tournament.

The proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit 4-H and FFA youth in Hot Springs County.
