The Imagination Station Preschool and Learning Center is currently starting enrollment for the fall.
Ciley Andreen, an educator with 18 years of experience, is offering the new preschool program to families who want an additional option to preschool education in Thermopolis.
“Kids learn more through music and movement,” Andreen said.
Andreen explained that she encourages a fun and playful learning experience for her students.
She also focuses on a curriculum that aligns with state standards and includes a handwriting without tears approach to writing.
Andreen said she will be offering three classes for preschoolers. There will be a three-year-old class, a four-year-old class and a four and five-year-old class.
The four-year-old and five-year-old class will cater to those students who don’t make the age cutoff for kindergarten.
Andreen said she is starting the new business in order to cater to parent’s needs.
“We need preschool,” she said. “There’s a need for (another) preschool here.”
Andreen will be keeping her class sizes to a 10 student maximum in order to give each child the one-on-one attention they need.
‘”My plan is to keep small classrooms,” she said. “I don’t want anyone to fall through the cracks.”
Students will be taken on field trips, as well as to events like storytime at the library.
