Gearing up for PRCA rodeo

The 2015 Thermopolis Cowboy Rendezvous PRCA Rodeo will be held on June 26-27 and marks the rodeo committee’s 11th year of working to restore this event to the grandeur it held in the 1940s and 1950s. During that time, the rodeo was famous throughout the United States and Canada. 

Committee members are finalizing a sponsorship drive to produce the rodeo and are looking for potential sponsors. The rodeo offers good old-fashioned family fun and gives spectators a taste of the west. Sponsorships go a long way toward helping the committee produce a top-quality show. 

Many people do not realize a PRCA sanctioned rodeo must use PRCA approved stock contractors who have stock which meets event standards. Additionally, arena help such as the announcer, soundman, timers, secretary, judges, bullfighters, entertainment, barrel man (clown) and pickup men must all be card-carrying members of the PRCA and have had special training in their respective areas.
