Moeller named to '40 under 40'

Amanda Moeller was recently featured in “40 Under 40” in the Wyoming Business Council’s April report.

A native of Thermopolis, Moeller graduated from high school in 1995, finishing her schooling at Casper College in 2011.

After spending years in Casper working in community development for the city, Moeller made the choice to return to her home town as the executive director of the Chamber of Commerce.

“I’d wanted to come home for years,” Moeller said. “I’m a small town girl. I enjoy the community. Besides, I have a lot of family support here.”

Moeller’s parents are Tom and Debbie Christensen, and her grandparents, Jim and Nellie Dowdy.

She started her own business, “Cowgirl Consulting, LLC” in 2013 and now does contract management for Hot Springs County Tourism and is acting CEO of the Economic Development Company.

Moeller said the two jobs are challenging in a small tourist town, but she’s grown partnerships between the two that may not have existed otherwise.

She is a member of the Federated Community Church, the Chamber Ambassadors, FFA Alumni and can be seen participating in a number of other community organizations.

“Anything I can do to make it a better place for my family and the families of others, is worth my time.”
