Drama Club performance

Hiss and boo the evil villain. Cheer on the dashing hero. Come have an old fashioned good time as the Hot Springs County High School Drama Club puts on their spring show, “She Was Only Marginally Modest” by Vern Harden.

A traditional melodrama, the story is that of a poor, young girl named Marginally Modest who seeks refuge from the evil villain, Bradley Apple.

Helping her along the way is Ma Belle, who has troubles of her own with the judge who owns the deed to her land.

Marginally gets help from the hero, Seymore Stoutfellow who is searching for the people who have been bothering the local wildlife and many of the interesting local townsfolk.

The cast for the evening includes Sierra Schmidt, Logan Kay, Becca Blackhawk, Darren Leonhardt, Kameron Olsen, Macinna Holm, Cody Bleak, Amanda Dinsmore, Clare Denney, Fawn Rush, Shianne Yarrington, Aressa Goodrich and Danielle Yarrington.

Performances will be held in the auditorium April 27, 28 and 30 at 7 p.m.

There is no charge, but donations may be made at the door with all proceeds going directly to the Drama Club.
