    It's been a while since anyone on a wrestling bus had occasion to shout "We're Number One," but that was the case late Saturday afternoon as the Bobcats departed for home with a winning point total of 175.5 and the championship trophy from the Greybull Memorial Invitational tournament.     On Saturday, Feb. 2, members of the Thermopolis Wrestling Club competed at the Wild West Championships at Gillette. In 6U 49, Bain Lahoe lost by a 1:27 fall to Abel Haugen of Coyote Wrestling Club in Championship Round 1, received a bye in Consolation Round 2 and lost by a 19-second fall to Wyatt Manning of Project Wrestling in Consolation Round 2.     The leaders of the Hot Springs County Recreation District's Adult Basketball League are starting to emerge, with Red Rock and their 2-0 record at the top following a 46-38 victory against Merit Energy on Wednesday, Jan. 30. The loss puts Merit at 1-1 for the season. Two Hills of a Cizzle is close behind at 2-1, with both wins coming on Jan. 30 - 49-43 over Properties West and 63-39 over Hot Parts.     Last week saw the middle school boys basketball teams face off against Riverton on Thursday, Jan. 31. The eighth grade team came away with a 49-28 loss.     The Lady Cats basketball team hosted Buffalo and Big Piney last weekend, splitting the contests 1-1. On Friday night the girls lost to the second ranked team, Buffalo, by a final score of 64-41. They dug a very large hole early in the game as they struggled to take care of the ball, falling behind by 17-0 in the first quarter.     The 2019 season of the Hot Springs County Recreation District’s Adult Basketball League got off to a strong start with three games on Wednesday, Jan. 23 This season, the league has five teams competing for the title — Properties West, Two Hills of a Cizzle, Hot Parts, Red Rock and Merit Energy. Properties West showed up on the court twice last Wednesday, with a 80-65 loss to Red Rock and a 79-59 win against Hot Parts.     The Lady Bobcat varsity basketball team battled against Newcastle Friday night, coming up short with a 54-41 loss. The Lady Cats were trailing 30-17 at half time, but came out playing excellent defense in the third quarter, closing the gap to within two points at various times. Finishing eighth of 19 teams was not what they had in mind, but on the other hand they were by far the leading 2A team at the tourney, outscoring seven 3A teams in the process.     The Lady Cats competed against Shosoni, Powell and Lander over the weekend at the Big Horn Basin Tournament hosted by Powell. The varsity team came out on top of Shoshoni on Friday with a 38-19 win. Sesi Jensen lead the team in scoring, dropping in 10 points while Tahja Hunt helped the offense with three assists.
