The Lady Cats varsity team took a couple of rough losses over the weekend, first to Newcastle on Friday, 59-41 and to Douglas on Saturday, 63-23. In the Newcastle game, Ashley McPhie dropped in 12 points as well as pulling down five rebounds and added three steals to her stats. The middle school boys basketball teams took on Lovell Saturday with the eighth grade boys having home court advantage and the seventh graders playing in Lovell. The Lady Bobcats had a successful weekend at home winning two out of three of their games during a tournament that included Shoshoni, Rocky Mountain and Wyoming Indian. The weekend improved their record to seven wins, which eclipses their total from a year ago when the team finished 6-17 on the season. The seventh grade B team traveled to Lander and came home with three wins, topping Worland 19-18, Powell 25-22 and Lander 27-6. Team Owl Creek was crowned Hot Springs County Recreation District Adult Volleyball Champions after defeating Gassed by Gottsche in some intense action.
