    The Lady Bobcat volleyball team had two rounds this past week, first taking on Buffalo on Thursday and them playing at home against Powell on Saturday.     The Bobcat Cross Country team traveled to Cody for their invitational last week and the girls team got to see some good competition from the Lovell Lady Bulldogs. Coach Stephanie Metz said Lovell will be the Lady Cats’ main competition when they head to state in Douglas on October 24.     The Lady Bobcat Volleyball team got their first win Friday night, Senior Night, against Burlington. “I have seven seniors and they all played great,” said head coach Shannon Hill. “The whole team played as a unit and were moving and flowing as a unit which was nice to see.” Hill said defense did well staying on their toes and ready for anything that was sent to them that would allow the setter to get to the ball and our hitters to trasition and execute. “It was a fun match to watch and coach and the girls were having fun,” Hill said.     The Thermopolis Bobcat football team traveled to Lovell on Friday to take on the Bulldogs. In a tightly contested conference battle, the Bobcats came in just short losing 20-23. The team trailed 20-14 at the half, but the Cats managed to bring thins to a tie in the third, 20-20.     The Bobcat Cross Country Team attended the Warrior Invite last Thursday against some tough competition. “It was a windy day, making times higher than usual,” coach Stephanie Metz said, “but the kids competed well and hung with our competitors until the very end.” On the boys side, there were a few personal record set, even in the poor weather, and athletes started to pick up their pace sooner in the race to pass a few extra competitors.
