The Bobcat Track and Field team competed in at the Lovell Invitational last week. Senior Logan Cole took first place in discus with a throw of 156-04, breaking the Bobcat school record. He was just shy of reaching the school record for the shot put with his first place finish throw of 52-00. The Bobcat Booster club is preparing to return the annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament after missing last year due to COVID-19. Decisions were made by the Booster Club in March to bring the event back this Memorial Day weekend, the last weekend in May. The tournament was taken over by the booster club five years ago and has been growing every year. Last year’s cancellation was disheartening to all involved. Lady Bobcat Kamry Bowman earned All-Conference honors in class 3A girls basketball for the 2020-21 season. Bobcat Hardy Johnson received All-Conference honors in class 3A boys basketball. The Lady Cat basketball team lost a hard fought contest with Buffalo last Friday night. The girls rallied in the third quarter to overcome a double digit deficit, but in the fourth quarter, turnovers plagued them, and they fell to Buffalo by a final score of 70-52.
