The Bobcat football team lost to Lovell Friday night for Homecoming with a final score of 51-15. The team battled tough early, but Lovell had too much power. Mistakes plagued the short lived success the Bobcat team had at times. Gavin Shumway threw two touchdown passes in the game. Roedy Farrell was on the receiving end of one of those touchdown passes. The Bobcats won the 2A state boys golf team title for the fourth straight year, the sixth time in the last eight seasons, during state golf on their home course. After they were tied with Kemmerer following the first day, Thermopolis won by 40 shots in the team standings finishing with an overall score of 690. With Hot Springs County School District No. 1 classes resuming on Monday, so did practices and competitions for sports and activities. For the Bobcats, that equals a busy weekend schedule. The golf team will be hosting State Golf on Friday and Saturday. The boys have a great team and should make a strong showing. At the Hot Springs County Rec District Adult Softball Championship Game, it was between One Stop Sparkplugs and One Eyed Buffalo. The 48th annual Wyoming Shrine Bowl All-Star football game was held in Casper last Saturday.
