The Bobcats just finished up their eighth week of the 2021-22 boys basketball season and are looking at about a month left. The Cats came through with another fabulous finish at the one day Worland Speech and Debate Tournament by winning first place in the 1A/2A Team Sweepstakes. The 7th and 8th grade Thermopolis Middle School boys basketball teams have had a busy start to their season. On January, 18 the Bobcats had their first game against Powell with both A & B 8th graders walking away with the win. The A team score was 37-31 and B team was 24-18. The Bobcat wrestlers were in Lander this last weekend and were short wrestlers due to injuries and illness. The Cats that were able to attend worked hard and fought for their placements. The boys lost a close game against Newcastle on the road, The game went into overtime and the Bobcats fell just short with a 58-55 loss. On Saturday at home the Bobcats took on the Douglas Bearcats. Bobcat wrestlers dominated at their tournaments last week bringing home several wins. Friday in Greybull the Bobcats beat the Buffs 57-13. The Lady Bobcat basketball players traveled to Pinedale to go up against Pinedale, Lyman and Rawlins this past weekend. To start the weekend, the Lady Cats went up against the second ranked Lyman. The Bobcat Varsity Boys Basketball team came back from the holiday break to start their weekend with a slow start against Pinedale last week, with a score of zero at the end of the first quarter.
