The 7th and 8th grade Thermopolis Middle School boys basketball teams have had a busy start to their season. On January, 18 the Bobcats had their first game against Powell with both A & B 8th graders walking away with the win. The A team score was 37-31 and B team was 24-18. The Bobcat wrestlers were in Lander this last weekend and were short wrestlers due to injuries and illness. The Cats that were able to attend worked hard and fought for their placements. Thermopolis 3A boys Bobcats varsity team is headed into a busy schedule the end of the week with a 6-6 overall record. The boys lost a close game against Newcastle on the road, The game went into overtime and the Bobcats fell just short with a 58-55 loss. On Saturday at home the Bobcats took on the Douglas Bearcats. Bobcat wrestlers dominated at their tournaments last week bringing home several wins. Friday in Greybull the Bobcats beat the Buffs 57-13. The Lady Bobcat basketball players traveled to Pinedale to go up against Pinedale, Lyman and Rawlins this past weekend. To start the weekend, the Lady Cats went up against the second ranked Lyman. The Cats played a tough first half and were only down by 6 points. The Bobcat Varsity Boys Basketball team came back from the holiday break to start their weekend with a slow start against Pinedale last week, with a score of zero at the end of the first quarter.
