Bobcat golfers had a strong opening at the Worland Spring Golf Tournament last Friday. For the high school boys, Hardy Johnson shot an impressive 75, finishing just two strokes behind Worland’s Karsten Simmons who won with a 73. Last weekend was the end of the Bobcat boys 3A basketball season at State in Casper. Thursday the boys went up against Powell Panthers and lost 70-40 in a tough game. That sent them to the consolation semi-finals where they faced the Worland Warriors. Hot Springs State Park has a frisbee/disc golf course just north of the Chamber of Commerce Building that is open year-round for play. For those interested in getting the discs to play, stop by the Chamber to play for free. The frisbee golf course is 9 holes with baskets. The sport started about 50 years ago when players would throw the discs at tree stumps but now they have baskets. The course has every hole as a par three, it’s just like golf.
