    The varsity boys Bobcat basketball team hosted the Powell Panthers at home last Friday with the Cats falling to the #4 ranked Panthers 85-59. "We played really well in the first quarter. We hit a lull in the second quarter where Powell outscored us by 17.     Last Friday the varsity Lady Cats basketball team played a conference game against the Powell Panthers. The girls had some good moments in stopping Powell and had good performance on the offense end, but fell to the Lady Panthers 58-32. “We knew this would be a tough game especially mentally.     Thermopolis Wrestling Club members competed in the RMN Wild West Championship wrestling tournament held last Saturday at the Casper Events Center. Overall the team came in 11th place out of 110 teams in the morning session and they came in 9th out of 103 teams in the afternoon session. Several wrestlers brought home individual metals.     Friday and Saturday the Cats and Lady Cats were in Lander for the Lander Valley Invite. The tournament is a large tournament with almost all of the 3A schools in the state along with some of the best 2A schools.     The varsity Lady Cats hosted the Big Horn Basin Classic basketball tournament last week. Their first game on Friday was against Greybull. "We had prepared for their 1-2-2 zone during the week and felt we would have success against it. We did force them to play man by running man sets against it which worked. In their first game on Friday, the boys went up against #2 Lander, losing 52-43. In their second game of the tournament, the boys faced 2A Wyoming Indian and came up short with a final score of 68-46. The boys team ended the weekend tied for 10th out of 29 teams. “This is one of the toughest tournaments of the year and we competed well.
