Six wrestlers represented Thermopolis on different Wyoming teams last weekend in Des Moines, Iowa. The age divisions were all a dual format tournament. The athletes either qualified at state tournaments throughout the year or were picked by coaches. Fifth graders - The fifth grade boys traveling basketball team won the Silver Bracket at the 33rd Annual Casper Youth Basketball Tournament last weekend. They went 3-0 on Saturday and started Sunday with a tough 36-32 loss to the Saratoga Panthers. Hot Springs County High School freshman Lady Cat basketball player Jayssie Owsley as received accolades for the 2022-23 season by being named to the Girls 3A West All Conference post-season awards list. Bobcat Cord Simeral, a senior, was named to the Boys 3A West All Conference post-season awards list. Honors were chosen in a vote by the head coaches.
