    Thermopolis Middle School Head Wrestling Coach Toby Emery congratulated his student wrestlers during the Hot Springs County School District Board of Trustees’ Jan. 19 meeting, reporting that Thermopolis finished third out of 10 teams in the 2022 Big Horn Basin Middle School Conference Boys A Division, scoring the same ranking they’d earned the previous year. “That’s an amazing feat, especially with the number of kids we have,” Emery said. “There’s 18 slots in wrestling.     Last Friday evening, the Bobcats varsity boys team hosted Lyman for a home game with the Cats falling 48 to 30. "Defensively, I felt like we played really well and did a good enough job to keep us in the ball game (it was a pretty neck and neck game before the fourth quarter).     The Bobcat wrestlers have been busy with two duals last week, a dual with Buffalo the end of January and competing at the Greybull Invite last Saturday. At the Buffalo dual on January 26, the Bobcats had a great showing and celebrated Senior night. The boys went 6-2 for a 39-12 win.     Last Friday, the varsity Lady Cats basketball team hosted the 3A #4 ranked Lyman Eagles with Thermpolis falling short to Lyman 43-30. “We started out good against Lyman and held our own for the first quarter.     Thermopolis Wrestling Club members competed in the RMN Wild West Championship wrestling tournament held last Saturday at the Casper Events Center. Overall the team came in 11th place out of 110 teams in the morning session and they came in 9th out of 103 teams in the afternoon session. Several wrestlers brought home individual metals.
