    The Thermopolis Middle School Track and Field teams competed at the Cody Middle School Invitational last Saturday. The sixth grade girls came in 5th as a team with the sixth grade boys coming in 6th. The seventh grade girls came in 4th as a team and the seventh grade boys also came in 4th. The eighth grade girls came in 5th as a team and the eighth grade boys were 3rd. The TMS Bobcats had some impressive finishes.     Last week the Bobcat track and field team members competed in Shoshoni and Powell, earning some strong individual finishers and setting some personal records. At Shoshoni, the Lady Cats finished 4th as team out out of a field of 14. The Bobcats finished 2nd as a team out of a field of 14. At Powell, the Lady Cats came in 6th out of a field of 9 teams.     Six wrestlers represented Thermopolis on different Wyoming teams last weekend in Des Moines, Iowa. The age divisions were all a dual format tournament. The athletes either qualified at state tournaments throughout the year or were picked by coaches. These tournaments bring teams from all over the nation to compete for team titles as well as individual All-American Status based on their performance.     Thermopolis Wrestling Club will be attending the culminating State Tournament this week, April 14-16, with 37 wrestling Folkstyle, 22 wrestling freestyle and 17 wrestling Greco.     The Bobcat Track and Field team opened their season at the Wheatland invite last Thursday. Bobcats competed against 20 other schools at the tournament. They then traveled to Greybull on Saturday to compete against 13 schools at the Bill Gerrard Memorial Invite.     Fifth graders - The fifth grade boys traveling basketball team won the Silver Bracket at the 33rd Annual Casper Youth Basketball Tournament last weekend. They went 3-0 on Saturday and started Sunday with a tough 36-32 loss to the Saratoga Panthers.     Hot Springs County High School freshman Lady Cat basketball player Jayssie Owsley as received accolades for the 2022-23 season by being named to the Girls 3A West All Conference post-season awards list. Bobcat Cord Simeral, a senior, was named to the Boys 3A West All Conference post-season awards list. Honors were chosen in a vote by the head coaches.
