Wallace had a record of 24.57, which was broken by Maddock with a 24.38. Maddock’s second record is in the 400M set by Joel Scogin in 1983. According to coach Kent Hessenthaler, Maddock didn’t jus...

Despite having golfers who played well enough to take home a state win last fall, the Bobcat golf team continues to have a rocky season with players out for various reasons. Coach Jacob Smith said he only had three golfers ready to play this past weekend for the tournament in Powell. “With band gone, so were most of the golfers. I took three boys and they all played well,” Smith said. The District Music Festival was this weekend, and a good number of golfers were there instead of on the greens. Johnson said that he and his son played a pretty good game of golf to lead to the win. “He scored a 98 over par of 78, I scored a 86,” Johnson said. However, because the scores were adjusted for handicaps and then changed based on best ball for the team, their final stroke score was 50. “If I scored a four on one hole with a handicap and he scored a three, then we would mark the three,” Johnson said.
