The Lady Bobcats were in Douglas over the weekend, coming away with a 1-2 record from the East-West Classic. Head coach Cory Sova said the first game, a 55-31 loss against Lander, was not pretty. The team won against Lusk, 48-26, but lost 61-53 against Wright and 47-46 against Glenrock. The latter loss, however, came after they took Glenrock into overtime. A total 23 high school boys have been getting ready for their openers this weekend - six seniors, five juniors, four sophomores and eight freshmen. USA Wrestling sign-ups are set for Dec. 13 and 15 at the armory from 5:30-8 p.m. The program is run completely by volunteers and provides wrestlers ages five and up an opportunity to compete and receive coaching. Registration is $60 and includes a t-shirt. There is an additional $50 equipment deposit which will be returned when the equipment is turned in at the end of the season. The Lady Bobcat volleyball team finished their season last weekend at the regional tournament in Rawlins. First thing Friday morning the girls faced the Lady Bearcats from Douglas. The Hot Springs County High School Cross Country finished their season Saturday, at the 3A State Championships in Sheridan. The girls team brought home a second place finish with 80 points; Star Valley took first with 58. Jules Ward came in at under 20 minutes for the course, with a second place finish of 19:17.92.
