    Along with the start of school comes the start of fall athletics for Hot Springs County High School and Thermopolis Middle School. First practices for high school sports begin Monday, Aug. 17.     About 75 young people from across Wyoming gathered in Thermopolis last weekend to compete in the Wyoming Junior Rodeo Association's rodeo at the Hot Springs County Fairgrounds.     Two Thermopolis 2015 senior girl basketball players slam-dunked the opportunity to play in the Wyoming Coaches Association North vs South Basketball All-Star game in Casper last Saturday, July 25.     The Hot Springs County 4-H Shooting Team hit the mark at the State Shoot earlier this month with multiple individual wins scoring in the top ten for archery, shotgun, pistol, and rifle classes.     It’s time for the younger generation to show their stuff at the Wyoming Junior Rodeo Association (WJRA) rodeo July 25 and 26 at the Hot Springs County Fairgrounds. The WJRA is expecting 40 to 50 cowboys and cowgirls. Performances start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, 9 a.m. on Sunday, and Cowboy Church will be offered at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
