It was another busy weekend for the Thermopolis High School boys basketball team, hosting Rawlins Friday night, then taking things on the road at Douglas on Saturday. Unfortunately, it was a rough weekend for the Bobcat matmen with much of the team nursing injuries or absent with the nasty strain of flu running rampant through the district. The JV and freshmen basketball teams struggled to find wins this past week at home against Rawlins Friday and on the road at Douglas Saturday. Last week, the Thermopolis boys basketball team took on the Worland Warriors on the road Thursday and the Buffalo Bison at home. The Bobcat girls basketball team dropped a pair last weekend, one on the road against Lander and the second at home against Lovell. This weekend was a struggle for Thermopolis High School Boys Basketball, as they came away with losses to Lander, 68-41, and Lovell, 69-43. Coach Kevin Gerber said Lander came out as a real “run-and-gun, shoot ‘em up type team.
