    The Thermopolis Wrestling Club travelled to Powell and wrestled at a three-style tournament. This Saturday, March 17, the club will be at home hosting the Wrestle-opolis tournament at Hot Springs County High School. Folkstyle wrestling will start around 8 a.m. with freestyle will follow.     The Thermopolis boys basketball team wrapped up its season last weekend in Douglas with a 65-50 loss against Newcastle on Thursday and a 57-43 loss against Douglas on Friday. Coach Kevin Gerber said they were both two good games, with the boys playing very well. Regarding the Newcastle game, Gerber said it was only four days since they last played the Dogies.     In spite of their best efforts, the Bobcat girls basketball team had a rough go-round at the Regional Tournament in Douglas last weekend. On Thursday, they were pitted against the host team, the Douglas Lady Bearcats, who are undefeated for their season. The Cats fell to the Bearcats, 23-62.     The state tourney brought the end of Coach C.J. Scholl's fourth season at HSCHS. "We made some real progress this year. The team went from one state placer last year (Cullen Becher), to four this year, and our points total nearly doubled. For the smallest 3A school in the state, that's not bad."     The Hot Springs County Rec District Adult Basketball League had its fifth round of games on Feb. 28, with the Red Rock team maintaining its undefeated streak after a 63-52 victory over Vicklund Pharmacy.     Thermopolis sent eleven wrestlers to the 3A State Tournament in Casper, but after the first round of matches, only two remained in the championship brackets, junior Austin Ireland and freshman Logan Cole.     The Thermopolis Lady Cats had a busy weekend hosting Douglas on Friday and Newcastle on Saturday, the last home games of the season.     This weekend will see the Hot Springs County High School boys basketball team traveling to compete in the regional tournament. Their first game will be against Newcastle, an opponent they faced this past weekend. The Bobcats went up against Douglas on Feb. 23, coming away with a 57-49 loss, followed by a 69-41 loss against Newcastle on Feb. 24.     The boys JV basketball team finished up its season with a 49-45 win against Douglas last Friday and a 60-46 loss to Newcastle the next day. Coach Ryan Shaffer said the boys played well this weekend, keeping their intensity high on the defensive end. They caused 23 turnovers, had six blocks and 17 steals as a team.     The Lady Bobcats hosted a make-up game against the Lady Buffs of Buffalo last Tuesday, losing on their home court, 34-73. Head coach Cory Sova said it was an "ugly first half."
