    This past weekend saw the Bobcat cross country runners compete at Billings, Mont. The competition was for the four high school students, and Tahja Hunt placed 21st with a time of 20:55. Kenna Bomengen placed 23rd with 21:00; Olivia Weyer placed 68th with 23:43; and Dayna Sandberg placed 93rd with 27:13.     The Thermopolis cross country season got underway with their first meet, the Kelly Walsh Invite, and Coach Stephanie Metz said the team performed very well, noting the high school runners dropped time from this meet last year.     On Saturday, the Hot Springs County High School football team travelled to Cody for a scrimmage, and Coach Matt PcPhie said the boys played exceptionally well. The scrimmage was more of a “round robin” setting, McPhie explained, with no real scoreboard, and the Bobcats played games against Cody, Wind River and Worland. Kay said there are 20 girls out for the seventh grade team and 13 out for eighth grade. Two members of the team went to Powell for their Invitational on Thursday and Friday of last week – returning State Champion Hudson Roling and Cade McLean.
