Anita was born in Lawrence County, Ill., on July 10, 1930, to Eugene and Beatrice Poland. Anita married Jerry Smith, her high school sweetheart, on August 30, 1949, in Franklin, Ky. Robert "Bob" Blacketer, 82, passed away January 31, 2019, at the Thermopolis Rehab and Wellness Center. Bob was born in Kingman, Ind., on August 4, 1936, to David and Mildred Blacketer, the 2nd of 6 children. When he was six, the family moved to Reliance, Wyo., to the coal camp. After graduation, Bob enlisted in the Navy, serving on a tender in the Pacific and trained as a machinist, which was to become his life's work. Jermy Wight, 92, passed away on January 29, 2019, in Yuma, Ariz. Jermy was born in Gebo, Wyo., to Jessie and Mary (Lewendowsky) Wight. He attended much of his schooling in Thermopolis. Harold Junior Bendlin, 80, of Thermopolis passed away January 22, 2019, at the Central Wyoming Hospice Center in Casper, Wyo., after a period of declining health. Born July 20, 1938, in Spencer, Iowa, he was one of four children of Harold and Eva (Whetstine) Bendlin. He was born February 2, 1938 in a small house less than a quarter mile from where he lived most of his life. His parents were Odus and Ethel Taylor.
