The Hot Springs Speech and Debate team captured the 1A/2A Champion title at the Big Horn Speech and Debate Tournament held at Big Horn High School on January 26-27. The Bobcats brought 15 students to compete in the tournament that hosted 10 schools including large teams from South Dakota. Hot Springs County High School hosted a Wyoming Academic Challenge (WAC) Meet on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Thermopolis Middle School. Eight schools were in attendance, with a total of 13 teams competing in the event. The WAC conducts a series of academic challenge meets throughout the state, which are designed to allow high schools to compete in a regular season of events, culminating in a state tournament.
