The Hot Springs County High School Speech and Debate Team had an outstanding showing at the National Qualifying Wind River District Speech and Debate Tournament at Rock Springs High School on February 29 through March 2. The Hot Springs County High School Robotics Team was in Casper last Saturday - competing in a state-wide event, which pitted twenty-seven teams against one another, in a competition of mechanical and electronic mastery. Kinley Taylor was recognized at a Ralph Witters Elementary assembly for being a Bobcat Champion for Children. She is a kindergarten teacher at RWE. Hot Springs County High School hosted a Wyoming Academic Challenge (WAC) Meet on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Thermopolis Middle School. Eight schools were in attendance, with a total of 13 teams competing in the event. The WAC conducts a series of academic challenge meets throughout the state, which are designed to allow high schools to compete in a regular season of events, culminating in a state tournament.
