Of the 1,996 ballots cast, 1,818 were Republican, 138 were Democratic and 40 were Nonpartisan. Looking at the local races, Jeremie Kraushaar won for Hot Springs County Sheriff with 544 votes. The political season in Wyoming is heating up with just a little under three weeks until the Primary Election, August 21. If you have discovered you aren’t going to be in town for the primary, your vote can still count if you do absentee early voting. You will need to contact the County Clerk’s office at 864-3515 to get the absentee ballot mailed to you, or you can stop in the clerk’s office and vote immediately.
