Hot Springs County resident Ralph Joseph “Joe” Campbell has been named as a 2016 inductee into the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame (WCHF). Honorees, family and friends are invited to an induction ceremony Sunday, Sept. 25 at the Parkway Plaza in Casper. Tickets are $20 per person. Local resident, Shawn Goodman, 42, was seriously injured in a work related accident in the Big Horn Mountains on September 14. At 8:45 a.m., Goodman was cutting trees to be shipped to Oregon for a log home when one of the trees fell on him, breaking both femurs at the hip. A fellow worker from Shoshoni, Jason Kinnigy, has been commended for saving Goodman’s life, getting him as comfortable as possible before going for help. Big Horn Basin Foundation Director Jessica Lippincott was recently the recipient of the Henryetta Berry Memorial from the Wyoming State Historical Society. Lippincott explained that the award is given out once a year to those who promote Wyoming history in the youth, and she received it for the dinosaur academy she teaches. James C. "Jim" Good, who represented Wyoming at the prestigious National Championship Air Races in Reno for decades, is the 2016 inductee into the Wyoming Aviation Hall of Fame.
