Eight schools were in attendance, with a total of 13 teams competing in the event.     At the November 14 Hot Springs County School District #1 board meeting, business manager Jessica Benefiel presented a request for the board to consider approval for a depreciation reserve expenditure. Benefiel said, “The teacherage project is progressing and has incurred expenditures of just over $500,000 as of today, November 7, 2023.     The November 24 house fire on Black Mountain Road claimed the home of TJ and Cassie Owsley. The house is a total loss. According to Fire Chief Mark Collins, the cause is not known at this time, but there may be an investigation into the cause. The family was out of town at the time of the fire.
