Residents came out in force last Wednesday to welcome home Thermopolis Police Sergeant Mike Mascorro who was injured in a shooting on April 28. The WCHF State Board of Directors voted on the nominees from across the state during its annual meeting April 29. A $71,880 emergency project with a Colorado rock-scaling company will provide time-sensitive work that began Tuesday to stabilize an active slide just inside the south end of Wind River Canyon near Boysen Dam. Traffic delays of up to 20 minutes are expected during the work.
