    The Thermopolis Police Department is hosting National Night Out. You can meet your first responders on October 6 at the Hot Springs State Park at 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Representing are the Hot Springs County Sheriff’s Office, Lifeflight, HSC Ambulance, Public Health, Emergency Management, Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department and Wyoming Highway Patrol.   • Rollins fundraiser set for Saturday

    A Pulled Pork Dinner and Cookie Jar Auction benefitting 22-year-old Tori Lynn Rollins will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Hot Springs County Fair Building. Tori is the daughter of former Thermopolis residents Justin and Elaine Rollins. In July, she was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Synovial Sarcoma. She is currently undergoing chemo treatments in Denver. Once chemo is complete, she will require surgery, physical therapy and radiation.   • Reprised annual golf tourney a success

    Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital Foundation, Inc. reprised its Annual Golf Tournament on August 15. For many years, the Foundation had hosted an annual golf outing at Thermopolis Golf Course, to raise awareness of the Foundation’s Mission to support Hot Springs Memorial Hospital. With the substantial assistance of community leaders Brad Basse and Dennis Sinclair, the Foundation was able to organize an event, which proved to be a great success.     The annual Rick Phipps Memorial Concert will be held Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Pavilion in Hot Springs State Park beginning at 7 p.m. Featured musicians include Set Free Church Band, Kerry Wallace, Cal Winland, Chris Amend and the Silvertip String Band with Keith O’Brien on piano.
