Big Horn Bow Hunters held a tournament on Saturday, January 8 at the HSC Fair Building. Organizer Randy Welfl said they have shoots there every Thursday night at 7 p.m. until April 28. They shoot the "450 Vegas" which is 15 rounds of three arrows. This type of archery tournament has been around since 1962. Wyoming State Park, Historical Sites and Trails invites people to participate in a “First Day Hike” on Friday, January 1 beginning at 10 a.m. For the hike in Hot Springs State Park, hikers will meet at the Chamber of Commerce office. Christmas came early for Robert James, 82, a resident at Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Wellness (TRW) with the gift of a guitar. DeAnna Myers points to one of the beautifully decorated trees during the 20th annual Festival Of Trees auction held last Thursday. This year, $18,000 dollars was raised to go into the Thermopolis Community Fund. The event was attended by over 100 people and featured 11 trees, 13 wreaths and eight specialty items.
