Main Street Thermopolis is launching “Great until 8!” to promote businesses in Hot Springs County to stay open until 8 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month, beginning Saturday, October 9. The promotion is starting with eleven downtown businesses with plans to invite additional businesses to participate as the program expands. A Hot Springs County Round-up of patriots is being held Sunday, Oct. 10 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Hot Springs State Park. All patriots are welcome. On Tuesday, September 28, at 1 p.m. at the Hot Springs County Museum there will be a celebration and ribbon cutting. The 1920 Middleton Schoolhouse has been renovated and will be hosting classes once more at the museum annex. Next week is Homecoming for the Bobcats. The theme for this year’s Bobcat Homecoming is Tropic Like it’s Hot! (Tropical Paradise). Events kick off on Monday, Sept. 20 with a talent show and hall decorating. On Tuesday the Powder Puff/Buff Puff games will be played at 7 p.m. in the high school gym and at the football field.
