    Last Friday, families of preschool age children visited the Kiwanis Shelter in the Hot Springs State Park to meet a variety of vendors with fun activities and crafts to do while parents got to meet teachers and other officials. Penny Howard enjoyed the bubbles, Natalya Blair, Brier Kessler, Jester Taylor, Janice Olheiser, Anthony Taylor and Paxton Taylor made necklaces with their names on them and Mary Gard, along with her children Rosie and Levi, played with water....

    Hot Springs County Fair's Family Fun Nite offered many food delights and delectables including cotton candy. Silas Dickey set up a booth selling the sweet treat. Silas is raising funds for his Wyoming 4-H Cross Cultural trip to Italy next summer. Making the most of the night Brycelynn Schatz finishes off some of her cotton candy from the booth before she headed to the inflatable bouncy house and games also offered that evening....

    Some area ranchers have moved or are in the process of moving their cattle herds to higher pastures for the summer. Traditionally horses are used to move the herd as it is easier to navigate the terrain. ATVs are also used as sometimes it is necessary to move other ranchers cows out of the way to enable the moving herd to easily pass through faster.
