The Hot Springs County Detention Center had a fun entry for the Lighted Christmas Parade that went through downtown Thermopolis last Saturday evening. Christmas came early for Robert James, 82, a resident at Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Wellness (TRW) with the gift of a guitar. DeAnna Myers points to one of the beautifully decorated trees during the 20th annual Festival Of Trees auction held last Thursday. This year, $18,000 dollars was raised to go into the Thermopolis Community Fund. The event was attended by over 100 people and featured 11 trees, 13 wreaths and eight specialty items. Hot Springs Dance (HSD) will hold their 5th annual Winter Show, Marvel-ous, on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. in the Hot Springs County School Auditorium. The auction was held for Lauri Olsen, who was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, at the HSC Fair Building last Friday night.
