    The warm weather we’ve been experiencing this fall is perfect for the opening of Pheasant season, coming up Nov. 3. Most areas open in November and are closed by Dec. 31. The Wyoming Game and Fish website has plenty of information on how many birds may be taken in a single day, dependent on hunting area, along with limitations on whether you can bag a male or female bird.     Wyoming Game and fish staff were in town to do a fishing survey along the Bighorn River, from where the highway crosses the river to the island behind the WYDOT building, Oct. 15-18. Helping them out for a couple days were 10 students in the Hot Springs County 4-H Sport Fishing Club.   • Time to order senior center cinnamon rolls

    The weather was certainly a factor in the fifth annual Oktobrewfest being a popular event this past Saturday. Though recent years have seen cold and rain for the event, this years had warmer temperatures and at least a bit of sunshine.     Hot Springs County will have 21 students competing at 4 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 13 at the state marching festival at the Casper Events Center.
