From 8 a.m. til 2 p.m. at the armory, you will find a variety of guns and air rifles for sale to benefit 4-H Shooting Sports. Tuesday saw the installation of new playground equipment at Bicentennial Park. The Thermopolis Town Council chose to order the equipment in August, after a slide on the old equipment was damaged and determined unsafe to use. Though there were some delays in getting it here, the new equipment is a welcome sight over the empty space in the park the past few months....

The Mrs. Wyoming America Pageant is now accepting applications from married women to represent Thermopolis as a State Finalist in the 2018 pageant being held next spring. Thermopolis Middle School was filled to capacity last Saturday as the Holiday Affair and Tree Lot Chair-ity event joined forces for a spectacular day of shopping and holiday generosity. The perfect night out for the entire family this holiday season will be “Soup with Santa” at the Children’s Resource Center on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Santa will be on hand to have dinner with the family and photos starting at 5 p.m. The dinner and photos are free, but donations are welcome and will be put toward a preschool scholarship. The Hot Springs County Senior Center will host a dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 22 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The menu includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls, perfection salad and pumpkin pie. This year, the Thermopolis Community Fund and People For People are bringing the Christmas Tree auction to the downtown area on Dec. 9. The tree auction, done through the community fund, had previously been at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center.
