    Last Thursday during Moonlight Madness, Bicentennial Park was home to ghosts, witches, goblins and a whole host of other creations for the annual costume contest. The event give people the opportunity to see what everyone chose to dress as for Halloween, before scattering out into the Thermopolis downtown for treats and other fun activities.     One Eyed Buffalo in Thermopolis will be celebrating Learn to Brew Day on Nov. 3 with a special event starting at 10 a.m. National Learn to Brew day began in 1999 as a way to promote the most rewarding and delicious activity of all time – homebrewing.     Beginning this Thursday, Nov. 1 Department of Family Services will be taking applications for the annual Elf Tree.     The Thermopolis Dinosaur Center will host a Dancing with the Dinosaurs fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 6-10 p.m. The entry fee is 10 per person, with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar available. A silent auction will also be part of the evening, with prizes including wine and a spirits baskets and a week in Cabo, Mexico. Music will be provided by Cowboy Hippie.     Last Saturday, Thermopolis Middle School choir students attended the Northern Big Horn Basin Music Festival in Worland. Director Drew Brown said there were four schools attending the conference — Thermopolis, Worland, Cody and Lovell — and each year a director from one of the attending schools conducts the performance.
