    Though the March ArtStroll isn’t for another week, the community is encouraged to get involved with the “For the Birds” stroll in April. People can make and enter birdhouses, bird feeders and bird decorations by March 9 to Marcia Nelson. New construction and repurposed entries are accepted, with the birds in the sky and your imagination being the only limits.     The Red Dirt Master Gardeners will present a free gardening workshop on Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Hot Springs County Library.     Hot Springs County High School’s Key Club is once again doing a food drive to help the needy in our community. According to sponsor London Jenks, the drive just started, and over the next couple of weeks each of the classes will be attempting to win awards for gathering the most non-perishable food.     It was another record breaking weekend for the Bobcat Speech and Debate Team as they traveled to Greybull for the Forensics Challenge. The speakers brought home first place for the third tournament in a row and placed second overall. “This team is dominating the circuit right now,” said coach Cindy Glasson. “Saying I’m proud of these kids doesn’t even touch the way I really feel. During the first week in April, they will be presenting the musical, “Pirates of Penzance,” a comic opera in two acts with music by Gilbert and Sullivan.     It was another successful weekend for the Bobcat Speech and Debate Team – one for the books as they brought home first place at the Worland “Worlando Beach” tournament. The team not only secured first place in 1A/2A, but placed second overall behind 3A Riverton.   • Museum fundraising still going strong

    The Hot Springs County Pioneer Association began a funding drive last October to raise money for the purchase of the property adjoining the Hot Springs County Museum on the west side. To date, those efforts have realized more than half of the association’s $105,000 goal, collected and in the bank. The association’s contract for deed has been extended until the end of March, so the initiative continues.
