Hot Springs Dance LLC will present it show, Once Upon a Time, on Friday, May 31 at the Hot Springs County High School Auditorium. The show will explore 18 different stories including Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, and Jack and the Beanstalk, through about 130 dancers performing ballet, contemporary, tap and hip-hop. The Hot Springs County Fairgrounds will be home to the Junior Livestock Show on Friday, June 7 beginning at noon. Participants will enter their animals the day of the show, and the order of showing will be swine, lambs, heifers and beef. The 36th Annual WYO Quarter Horse Spring sale was held at the Hot Springs County Fairgrounds last weekend. The crowd included buyers representing 18 different states, bidding on 29 geldings, eight two-year olds and 12 yearlings. Top seller at the spring show was Motown in Hollywood, a palomino gelding which fetched $42,000. The horse will find its home in California. This Memorial Day marks the fourth year featuring Hawk’s Avenue of Flags at Monument Hill Cemetery, named after Airman 1st Class Donald “Hawk” Hawkins. This is also the second year the Big Horn Basin Freedom Riders will be in charge of placing the flags at the cemetery on Monday morning, starting at 7 a.m. Volunteers are needed to place the flags in honor of the veterans that morning and to retire them that evening.
