The seventh annual Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) Tour of the Tables Mother’s Day Luncheon, sponsored by the local AV and K Chapters, will be Saturday, May 11 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Thermopolis Middle School Commons. Hot Springs Vet Clinic will be holding their annual rabies clinic next week, Wednesday, May 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you cannot make it to the clinic on Wednesday or need your pet examined, give them a call at 864-5553 for an appointment and they will get you in at the same fees some time the week of the clinic. The Bob Milek Range west of Thermopolis was busy last Saturday, for the third annual Young Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC). Cynthia Garbin said this year’s YHEC had 25 participants, age 8-17, from Hot Springs, Washakie and Weston counties. Additionally, there were 20 volunteers and leaders, and plenty of family and friends. April saw another year for the annual trips to Yellowstone National Park for fourth grade students from Ralph Witters Elementary. The first trip April 5-8, with the second done April 12-15.
