    The Wyoming Department of Transportation will be providing a Basic Rider Course in Thermopolis on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 17 and 18 at 8 a.m., at the WYDOT parking lot. The Basic Rider Course (BRC) was developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. The course is designed for those who have little or no riding experience, although most experienced riders will also benefit from the course. It contains approximately 20 hours of instruction, both in the classroom and on-cycle. A mandatory e-course is completed within 30 days of the class. The...

    The Meeteetse Museums invites the public to the annual tour of the Pitchfork Ranch Saturday, July 27. The tour will be led by owner, Dr. Lenox Baker, and begins at the ranch at 10 a.m. Participants should meet at the Meeteetse Museums at 9 a.m. with a picnic lunch and water.     It's hard to not notice when a line of flashy cars comes through town, particularly when they're the same make and model, and the Corvette Club of Utah is certainly no exception. Club President Kelly Vining said the club formed in 1964 and there were 12 drivers coming through Thermopolis this weekend on their way home, though their drive had a total 17.
