    Come to Meeteetse for Ferret Day on Saturday, September 28. Ferret Day is an annual celebration of the endangered black-footed ferrets’ rediscovery in Meeteetse in 1981. The ferret was reintroduced in 2016 in celebration of the 35th anniversary of the rediscovery and has become a symbol of the town. Ferret Day will begin at 10 a.m. at the Meeteetse Museums with the story of rediscovery told by Kris Hogg.     The Hot City Outdoor Alliance will be sponsoring a Criterium Bike Race in the buffalo pasture on Saturday, October 12. The race is a 1.63 mile, one-hour race that begins at 3 p.m. There will be prizes for the top three winners in both the men’s and women’s divisions and is open to everyone, even if you’re not the racing type.     Hot Springs County High School's career/technical education program has been working on a tiny cabin for the last two years and now its ready to find its new home. The tiny cabin was moved near the football field before the Homecoming game last Friday so folks could take a look at it. Ten participants from Arkansas, California, Florida, Idaho, Kentucky and Michigan will come to the Thermopolis VFW for the event, with check in on Sept. 27.
